Aviation insurance is insurance coverage geared specifically to the operation of aircraft and the risks involved in aviation.

Hull All Risks Insurance

 This insurance is required by Aircraft owner or operator to cover Aircraft and its spares/equipment against accidental loss or damage which the aircraft may suffer whilst in flight, taxiing and on the ground.

  • HULL WAR AND ALLIED PERILS INSURANCE
    This covers aircraft and its spares against some of the excluded War risks under the main hull and liability coverage like confiscation, strikes, riots, civil commotion, terrorism, labour disturbances, malicious act or act of sabotage, hijacking, any unlawful seizure, wrongful exercise of control of aircraft or crew in flight  on payment of additional premium
  • DEDUCTIBLE INSURANCE
    Because of the high standard deductible on the Hull ALL Risks Policy, this form of cover may be arranged to reduce the standard deductible to the minimum level allowable on payment of additional premium.
  • PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE
    This covers the members of crew against death, permanent or temporary total disablement resulting from an accident occurring during a flight or 24 hours basis.
  • LOSS OF LICENCE
    This provides insurance coverage for Aircrew against permanent and temporary withdrawal of license due to accident, sickness or disease.  This policy is therefore recommended for Pilots or their employers to protect them against this contingency.
  • LIABILITY INSURANCE
    This cover indemnifies the insured against all Sums which the insured shall become legally liable to pay as damages in respect of accidental bodily injury to, or death of passengers who are on board the insured’s Aircraft, including whilst entering into, being carried in or alighting from the aircraft.  This coverage is also inclusive of third party bodily injury, death and property damage arising from the use of insured’s aircraft.
  • AIRCRAFT SPARE PARTS INSURANCE
    Aircraft spare parts insurance covers aircraft engines, spare parts and equipment while the property is on the ground or is being carried as cargo by air.

Airport Owners & Operators Liability

  • CONTROL TOWER LIABILITY
    If the owner/operator provides some form of airfield controlled by radio and as a result of wrong or confusing instructions one aircraft gets in the way of another when landing or taking off particularly at the peak periods.  Substantial liability claims may arise from this contingency.
  • OWNERS AND OCCUPIERS LIABILITY (PREMISES LEGAL LIABILITY)
    This covers owners and occupiers of airports against liability claims which could arise as a result of  passengers and other third parties for death or injury suffered whilst on the premises, due to faulty lifts, escalators, footway or vehicles owned and operated by the airport authority
  • CATERER’S LIABILITY
    This coverage will provide compensation to those who may suffer from food poisoning as a result of eating in a restaurant on the airport premises.  The companies that are responsible for in-flight catering services to passengers are also exposed to the risk of being sued for food poisoning.
  • HANGAR KEEPERS LEGAL LIABILITY
    The policy covers the Insured against of loss or damage to aircraft or aircraft equipment not owned rented or leased , while such aircraft or equipment are on the ground and in the care, custody or control of the insured or while being serviced, handled or maintained by the insured or his servant.
  • FUELLING AND DEFUELLING LIABILITY
    This policy provides compensation to oil marketing companies that are supplying aviation fuel and other lubricants to aircrafts within the vicinity of the airport against loss arising from the supply of incorrect or contaminated fuel to aircraft.
